Overview

Among Demons is a browser-based game. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have when you create an account, sign in with Google or Discord, and play the game.

Information We Collect

Account information may include your username, email address, password hash and salt for password accounts, and session tokens used to keep you signed in.

If you sign in with Google or Discord, we receive the provider account identifier and may receive your email address and display name, depending on the provider and your account settings. We store that provider identity so you can sign in again.

Gameplay information includes your player level, XP, Souls, highest floor, saved demons, dungeon runs, rewards, and other game progress needed to operate the game.

Technical information may include basic server logs such as IP address, request path, browser user agent, timestamps, and error logs generated by the hosting environment.

How We Use Information

We use information to create and secure player accounts, authenticate sessions, operate gameplay systems, save progress, show rankings, troubleshoot errors, prevent abuse, and maintain the service.

Local Storage And Cookies

The game stores your session token and cleaned player profile in your browser's localStorage under amongdemons-session. Clearing browser storage or logging out removes that local session. The app does not intentionally set advertising cookies.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We share information only as needed to operate the service, including with hosting, database, and authentication providers, or when required for security, legal compliance, or protection of the service and users.

Google and Discord process information under their own privacy policies when you use their login services.

Retention

We keep account, OAuth identity, session, and gameplay data while your account is active or as needed to operate the game, resolve disputes, maintain security, and comply with legal obligations. Expired or unused sessions may be deleted periodically.

Your Choices

You can log out at any time. You can also disconnect the app from your Google or Discord account through those provider account settings. To request account deletion or access to account data, contact us using the address below.

Children

Among Demons is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

Security

We use reasonable technical measures such as password hashing and server-side session validation. No online service can guarantee perfect security, so please use a strong password and keep your provider accounts secure.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy as the game changes. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new last updated date.
